Denise began her career in the arts at an early age establishing her first dance company at the age of eight. Musical credits include her two CD’s which accompany her books, encompassing R/B, Jazz and Spoken Word fusion and a consideration for nomination in the 2002 Grammy Latin Jazz category, for her #1 hit poetic rendition of ‘I Don’t Speak Spanish But I Understand Everything When I’m Dancing’ by Tarabu Betsari Kirkland, “Mambo Jazz” (#1 in New York, Florida, Dublin and England).
To top it all off, Denise has ventured into the exciting eclectic realm of Spoken Word Artistry. Denise is a prolific writer and captivating performer bringing to life words penned by her hand and others; she invites in, then envelopes her audience with memorable performances. Her newest installment, a series titled, The ORACLE Presents Ten Pages of Nothing But The Truth: life inspirations meant to guide by the heart and spirit of “Common Sense”, along with a litany of published works in numerous Anthologies and other small press publications attest to her diversity of style, wit and understanding of the written word and things life.
