Ole 97 Johnny Cash Tribute Show Band performs high energy engaging and interactive entertainment for Festivals, Fairs, Dinner Shows, Private Parties, Private Clubs, and Nightspots. .. ..Based in Johnstown, PA but covering PA, WV, MD and points north south east and west. We've performed at the National Apple Harvest Festival, Thunder in the Valley, Mount Pleasant Glass & Ethnic Festival, PortageFest, Kettle Creek Music Fest, and Thurmont Heritage Days just to name a few.
Our passion is to keep the Fire Burning for the Man in Black Johnny Cash. We lost Johnny Cash in 2003, but Randy Hunter pays tribute with a style and voice that captures Johnny in his prime. .. ..Our show is similar to a Johnny Cash variety show and can be tailored to the needs of the specific venue where we perform. Just like Johnny, there is always room for variety in our performances. Have a favorite tune? Just request it! Our lead guitar prodigy Clinton Erb has the chops of a seasoned axe man 3 times his age, and our bassist Andy Heinze is a real pro at his craft having graced the stage with many top bands of the area. We have Jeff Erb on rhythm guitar, he's our resident "long hair". (who cut his signature pony tail for charity) He can play and sing with anyone including his son Clint. And wait until you hear Charlene Boldin! Only one word will come to mind.... Amazing! We guarantee it! Don't forget about Paul on drums, he always has a surprise or two up his sleeve. Even when he's not wearing sleeves..... Watch for Big Jim Ricotta who not only looks like Ed Rendell, and is a former popular DJ, but also fills in on bass from time to time. We also welcome the guitar and fiddle virtuoso Joe Brucker! He is the 7th 97'er from time to time and also fills in all around the band as needed. He's written the soon to be hit tune "Whole lot a Cash"
We sold out the Windber Arcadia Theater in November 2010 and hope to do it again in 2011.
