Homeless Hearts / Bio

The Countdown Starts Now is a Pop Rock band that will make you break your repeat button and blow out your speakers.
Alec, Jay, and Mark started The Countdown Starts Now after leaving thier old band, Check Your Status. A notable band, Check Your Status had a solid fan base and played with National acts like Madina Lake and Hawthorne Heights. The Countdown Starts Now was established with a message that resonates to the core with every member of the band: never settling for less. They reinforce this message with constant reocurring principles like honesty, passion, and excitement. While the band is based in Pittsburgh fate brought the members together in a very unexpected way, Craigslist. After the band had a full line-up, songs, and were studio ready, they recorded their first EP, "The Countdown Starts Now", at Oceanic Studios with producer Taylor Larson (Sky Eats Airplane, Life On repeat, Periphery) while Travis Orbin (Sky Eats Airplane and Periphery) supplied the drum tracks. Since then, the EP has been released and is available available everywhere online. The band is now playing shows in the tri state area and their fan base is growing daily.
The members of the band have an unmeasurable spectrum of influences due to the diversity of the individual members. Some of them include All Time Low, Frank Sinatra, Bon Jovi, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Blink-182, and Underoath. The bands people say The Countdown Starts Now most sound like are; Fall Out Boy, The Maine, Anberlin, Boys Like Girls, and Cartel.
Now, they are not only are they ready to change music as you know it, they are ready to make you feel like you have never felt music before.
