O Fidelis started off in 2008 as a folk duet from Oklahoma City with a passion for creating music that everyone could enjoy. With audiences ranging from the elementary kids at Positive Tomorrows to the rough and rowdy folks in the small town of Okemah, to the masses of the Oklahoma City music scene. O Fidelis brings a breath of joyous fresh air to a nearly forgotten genre of music. They have been described as "Newgrass folk rock that can create a campfire setting in a dive bar, or can liven it up to even past its potential. It's just fun!" says Jonathan Martin of Mannachine and The Uglysuit. One of the attractions of this young ensemble is their constant movement on stage. From mandolin, to banjo, from ukelele, to organ, they always keep you on your toes abut what to expect next. Doug Schwarz from Doug Schwarz Photography was heard describing O Fidelis' live show as "one hell of a time!" Soon-to-be married couple Brian Gililland and Laney Coker lead this unconventional group with on stage antics and banter. The band's charm never fails to go unnoticed.
