RUCKUS is a hard working cover band out of the Kootenay’s playing clubs and private events averaging 45+ shows a year since 2010. Looking forward to a busy 2014 RUCKUS has already booked many upcoming shows and look forward to travelling more this year. We are also writing and performing some of our originals and look forward to releasing a CD of originals and covers.
Loretta Sheriff, lead vocals/percussion, Loretta joined RUCKUS in July of 2010. With a background in theater she was involved in many musical productions and was with The Belles an acapella group for years. When asked to sing for RUCKUS she decided to give it a try and has been loving it ever since. Her range is impressive from Celtic to metal Loretta can deliver a song with conviction and is emotionally compelling.
Logan Carlstrom is a recent graduate from the Selkirk College Music program in Nelson. He's been playing and writing songs on his own or in bands for the last few years. Logan is currently teaching music locally and has been expanding his knowledge of the current music scene through collaboration and live performances. Logan joined RUCKUS in September last year bringing energy and experience well beyond his years
Brian Posnikoff, bass/vocals, a true rock bass player who anchors the rhythm section and rocks out as the conduit between beat and melody. Brian is currently a student at the Selkirk College Music program in Nelson. Playing in and around the Kootenay's for years Brian joined RUCKUS in December of 2012.
Rob Taylor, drums/vocals, founder of RUCKUS in 2010, has been entertaining since the age of fifteen and is a veteran of the Vancouver scene. Rob is the back bone of RUCKUS, keeping the beat going and locking in the groove. He has adopted the ideals of "Let's play what the people want to hear".
