Jim Crawford is a southern California musician living in the Topanga Canyon area. He is a guitarist who’s been in and around the business for many years. Categorized as Americana Rock and Blues he covers a wide range of styles in his songs. Current music line-up is called Jim Crawford and Friends. Players are great musicans and friends who came together to play a benefit for the Topanga Community Club in 2004. Since then they have gathered for that same annual event as well as political events and other fundraisers. (Maxine Waters; Jodi Evans of Code Pink; Hopi Days at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, the Progressive Democrats of the Santa Monica Mountains; the Topanga Peace Alliance; Topanga Nights (fundraiser for the Topanga Community Club) and local favorite Safety Harbor Kids where he played a benefit show with the likes of Richie Hayward of Little Feat and Freebo.
Rotating members are Linda Vacarro, Hyla Douglas, Jane and Jamie McAllister, Peter Hillman, Tony Giraldo, Tom Mitchell, Gayle Ellet, Dana Wood.
Most recently he had guest appearances by Eddie Tuduri on drums http://www.traponline.com (Rhythmic Arts Project) and Roberto Gutierrez on percussion.
He is currently wrapping up his 2011 album which should be due for release late 2011.
