Cross the Divide is a storm rock group based out of southern New Hampshire consisting of Zac Paquette - Lead Guitar/Vocals, Chase Paquette - Bass, Marc Vachon - Guitar, and Jake French - Drums/Vocals. The band's orignial lineup began touring in February of 2011, reaching over 10,000 people through their live performances, and amassing over 40,000 online song plays in the first year alone. Since that time, the band has played alongside many nationally touring artists including Godsmack, Seether, Skillet, Pop Evil, Buckcherry, and three-time Billboard Top 30 artist Love Like Gravity. Cross the Divide released their first full-length album "Wreck Ignition" on October 26, 2012.
The dynamic hard rock group seeks to create intense, technically diverse and challenging songs that resonate deeply with every audience. The band draws influence from many artists, including but not limited to: Creed, Dream Theater, 3 Doors Down, Mudvayne, Skillet, and Decyfer Down. With the edgy, bone-shaking sound of their instrumentation, the band partners poetically-inspired lyrics that cut straight to the heart.
The release of Wreck Ignition was a great achievement for the band. Songs from the CD have been featured on internet and broadcast radio stations across the country and have received incredible praise from radio personalities and listeners alike. On several occasions, the music has even gained enough popularity to rise into "Top 10" and "Top 20" countdowns and such songs as Planet, Home Song, and Undead remain in high demand at performances.
After the release of Wreck Ignition, Cross the Divide's endurance was put to the test. At the end of 2012, the band's original drummer, Trent decided it was time to move on from the band and focus on other things. Though the departure of their friend from the project came as a heavy blow to the band, Cross the Divide worked hard to overcome the challenge and found innovative ways to continue performing until a new drummer could be found, and did not let the music stop.
To prove that the project was not dead, The band followed up Wreck Ignition with a brand new music release the following year. The five-song EP "On the Edge" was released on November 12, 2013, along with the band's first-ever music video featuring Be the Tree from the EP. Currently Cross the Divide is writing and creating new material for the next full-length CD and is crafting new strategies to extend the reach of their music.
