Blue Sour is a New Jersey based up-and-coming indie rock band.
The band was formed in Chile in 2007, with original members Benjamin "Kevin" Clarke (vocals), Juan Ignacio Garcia (guitar) and Javier Valenzuela (keyboards, bass guitar). Initially they came together as a cover band but soon they decided to assemble old musical ideas and incorporate new ones. After three years of writing and production, the band presented their first album in December 2010: "S.U.A.D."...a mixture of classic styles going through rock/pop/blues/funk, even reggae...all with an updated sound.
In early 2011 Javier returned to the U.S. to promote the project and form the team that would now be behind the music. The line-up initially featured Javier's former musical colleagues Jay Rivera on bass and Binh "Austin" Ledinh on guitar, as well as new members Andrew Long on vocals and Pablo Eluchans on drums. Binh, Andrew, Jay and Pablo moved on to pursue personal projects, being replaced by original member Juan Ignacio Garcia on guitar, cover scene veteran Mike Knuff on lead vocals and the great Johnny Rock (John Roccesano) on drums.
Today, Blue Sour is carried on by Juan and Javier, continuing to create new music, with plans to perform in the North East in the near future.
