J. Esco aka Alpha Beatz / Bio

The Alpha Knight known as J. Esco was born and raised in Brooklyn New York in the Flatbush area where life in the big apple wasn't so simple. J Esco grew up on Church Avenue where a few of his friends by the ages of 11 and 12 started to rhyme after the rise of his musical heroes Nas, Mobb Deep, Ludacris, Lil Jon, Busta Rhymes,The L.O.X., Jay-Z, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre,The Notorious B.I.G.,and T.I. who Esco favors the most developed his own styles of rapid fire and quick witted rhyme schemes. Turmoil and anguish and the loss of certain friends on his block forced him to move to the northwest area of Washington State. Very different from his attuned style of sound and ambiance J. Esco stayed very true to his musical east coast style and slightly Southern style of rhymes. At the age of 16 he harnessed a mixed fusion style of production of his own called "Future Hop" a mix of old school east coast sound with a mix of Lil Jon's crunk style of beats. He soon adopted a name for his soulful and riot styles of rhymes calling himself his own name of just his first initial and half his last name stating that he wanted be as real as the streets he's come from. Also calling himself Crook City name after the nickname for Brooklyn (Crooklyn) but cut in half representing his the only home he's ever known. Producing a vast array of R&B and Hip Hop tracks J. Esco continues to make a name for himself as a producer and rapper. Now helping mold the underground music scene of Tacoma Washington he hopes to help break the silence and help push the very talented Tacoma artists finally get their shine. Rest assured J. Esco is on to watch in the future so adjust your seats and hitch a ride to the Planet Alpha.
