Tim Rose has virtuosity, personality and a delightful Devil-may-care flair.
Born in 1987 in Tacoma, Washington, Rose couldn’t sit still long enough to learn music. So, it wasn’t’ until he was 16 that he picked up the guitar and fell in love. Within a year, he mastered the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and the Beatles, and Rose taught himself to read music, play piano, and sing. When he graduated from high school at 17, Rose received a music scholarship from the University of Hawai’I and immediately immersed himself in the cultures and lyrical influences O’ahu had to offer.
From reggae to slack-key, jazz to classical, with pop and rock influences, Tim Rose can play it all! Audiences have likened his voice to those of Michael Buble’s, Jason Mraz’s, John Mayer’s, among others. Rose is the quintessential natural talent, and now armed with his Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance in 2011, he is wasting no time getting acquainted with the music industry. Brad Watanabe—a local legend and member of The Green, produced Rose’s independent debut release, Extended Play. In addition, Rose has performed with Anuhea, studied songwriting with Jack Johnson, and performed all over the world—from London coffeehouses to the streets of Sevilla, Spain, and of course, throughout the US West Coast and Hawaiian Islands. Tim Rose is being what he was born to be—a performer sending out an aromatic blend of pop and reggae, Jazz and swing, rock and love. Tim Rose is the newest singer and songwriter sensation you don’t want to miss!
