Although labeled as "country", Emma Leigh considers herself a mainstream artist choosing an eclectic mix of Cool Country Blues and Rock, she sings everything from covers of popular classics to original songs that reflect her style and generation.
At home on the stage from an early age, Emma continually wows audiences of all ages; combining her tender, soulful vocals, with the powerful edginess of today’s popular music. Emma can move you to tears with ballads like, “Daddy's Little Girl” or the soon-to-be-released, “Us Against The World” or she can draw you in to her mesmerizing, hip-shaking, energy with songs like, "Buckle Up, Baby". Emma also has a passion for songs with a strong backbone and bluesy feel, reminiscent of the “funk” era.
A brilliant star in the making, Emma’s light shines brightest when she’s on stage. Emma has had numerous opportunities to perform at major Nashville venues, most recently appearing at B.B.Kings Blues Club for the Tunes For Tots concert benefiting the "Make A Wish" Foundation. She's also appeared at the famed "Nashville Palace”, “Tootsies World Famous Orchid Lounge”, “The Commodore Grill”, “Rippy's”, "The Opry Backstage Grill", and “Belcourt Taps and Tapas”, a thrill for any entertainer! Songwriting is a new passion, and Emma continues to hone her craft, co-writing with some of Nashville's revered and seasoned veterans turning out songs such as "The Same Boat" and "Bad Day To Break My Heart". Occasionally, you can catch Emma in Music City, performing her songs and showing Nash-Vegas what she brings to the party! She has also traveled to France and Switzerland as a featured performer in the French/American Gospel Choir and has a strong European fan base.
In the course of her career, Emma has been honored to open shows for popular entertainers such as Chris Young, Trent Tomlinson, Steve Holy, and most recently, Greg Bates. Emma has been a regular cast member of Virginia Dreams Center Stage, a music variety show on the RFD-TV network, where she has worked with seasoned country music icons such as Linda Davis, Randy Travis, Ronnie McDowell, and Colin Raye, to name a few.
In her live shows, Emma updates old classics like The Beatles’ “Oh, Darlin’” and Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine” and packages them with original songs such as “Buckle Up, Baby” and “I Wanna Be Rich”, presenting a diverse collection of music to be enjoyed by everyone!
