Phil Wallace / Bio

After 12 years in the "Texas Music Scene" and playing shows predominantly in Fort Worth and it's surrounding areas, Phil Wallace has proven himself to be a real Troubador, a young gun with and old soul.
Phil began writing songs around the age of 14 at a pretty dark time in his life. Staying in & out of trouble, flunking high school and experimenting with drugs finally drove Phil to enter a behavioral facility at 15 years old. Upon exiting, and with the help of his father, Phil found his footing in the Fort Worth Music Scene.
Phil began playing the Stockyards Opry, The Texas All-Star Revue, Johnny High's and The Fort Worth Songwriters Association, who later revoked Phil's membership due to his age. This nearly sent him back off the deep end. Phil began listening to "The Rat Pack" every Monday night at The White Elephant Saloon.
"They were the roots that held the Fort Worth Music Scene together back in those days, Kurt South, Jordan Mycoskie and Phil Pritchett." says Wallace. "I was absolutely drawn to what they did on stage, they didn't care what people thought about their songs, they just did it and it was good."
This got the wheels turning in Wallace's head and he began writing more and more, not so much focusing on what people wanted to hear but more what he wanted to say. "I just wrote about what I knew, some people didn't believe a fifteen year old kid knew what I knew. It was hard to be taken seriously, singing about drugs and pain."
In 2007 Phil recorded a sketchy acoustic collection called, "The Misery, Pain & Jesus Sessions" and only released about 100 copies. 2009 was Phil's first "real" album release with his self made acoustic album, "Second Place", another somewhat "crackly" lo-fi collection of acoustic tracks.
Phil released 500 copies of "Second Place" and has sold numerous copies on digital outlets.

Today Phil is focused on his new album and getting back into the scene and not just being a part of it. Recording his new album, The Black Tree Sessions at his own studio in Fort Worth, TX, he is sure that it will be a whole new side of Phil Wallace like no one has seen before.
"This album is just me pouring out my deepest energy. It's raw, gritty, has a solid f*ckin' groove and you get what you get. No tricks included."

"The Black Tree Sessions", will be Phil's first full production album.

Phil will be traveling the scene with his band, Phil Wallace and The Revival in 2014 so catch one of Phil's shows in your town and be on the look out for his new album, COMING SOON!!
