The Tyson Carma Band
First and foremost, our most sincere thanks to Randy Bachman for taking time out of his busy schedule to record an amazing lead for this song. We said to Randy, "Play whatever you feel from the song, the canvas is yours to work with, we will not tell you what to do, just go for it." So, in one take history was made!. Thank you Randy and Christian. Christian was the remote engineer for our project, and he's also Randy's guitar technician when Randy is out touring across the globe. Peace, Craig
The Tyson Carma Band is a gathering of musician's to record original music and our versions of classic rock, blues and indie tunes. We all have years of experience in the music industry, and to give you our version of classic tunes is an interpretation we hope you will like.
Basically it's a studio project with a possibility of playing live shows, only if you want to see us live. All the songs will be listed with a bit of information on each musician that contributed to the songs.
This is a project that is exciting and a very contemporary way of collaborating with talented musician's.
The story began in 1997 with a band called The Originals. They did cover tunes their way and each night was a different way of conveying the tune. Some nights it would be a heavy chugging down the tracks sound, and other nights it would be a new wave/alternative feel. It was like making a homemade soup. The guitar player would add eggplant and the bass player would add lentils. They'd let it simmer and the aroma was freedom with music. "Musical masterbation" as it was defined by the guitar player one evening.
The Originals took a hiatus in 2000 and each player went in different directions musically and technically. Mainly due to the bass player being called out to do a three month theatre show in Calgary. However, with the advances in technology The Tyson Carma Band evolved. Now musicians can receive a file, add their part while they are in Newfoundland and send it back to the next player to add his part in Victoria, BC.
It all comes together at Stonehedge Studios for the mix and mastering, as well as any additional items that need to be added to the sauce.
It's all about feel and freedom with music.
Craig - bass player and executive producer.
