Hollywood Florida based band, E O S (a.k.a. Evolution of Sound) started out as a nothing more than a guy and a guitar amongst friends, and has now become much more than that. It all started with lead singer DeWitt Clark who with his guitar, a pen, and some paper in the summer of 2007, launched a collaborated album under the stage name Clark Kent which consisted of the first originals and a selection... of classic rock covers. After returning to Hollywood in May 2009, DeWitt reconvened with friend and classmate Francis Matthews and the two began to develop the project known as “Clark Kent & Lex”. Thankful to have been given the opportunity, DeWitt and Francis traveled to Tallahassee Florida in July 2010 to perform an hour set with jazz bassist, Barry Stephenson and drummer, Ben Adkins, as part of the Composium series. This was ultimately the show that put the project into full swing. The duo got the opportunity to make their mark in south Florida soon after by playing a few private parties, opening up for another local band at a few local bar spots, and a few shows amongst friends. It was in early 2011 that the duo was lucky enough to be introduced to Victor Manuel, UM graduate for drums and music production, who took on the beat backbone to the project, and with his unique percussive techniques, he brought a very needed element to the project. Then, in mid-November 2011, the band stumbled upon the fourth addition to the project, Jorge Canovas, one of Miami's premier bassists who had just completed work on the Latin Grammys. With the core of the group now settled, they can look forward to their much anticipated EP release which will make landfall June 9th, 2012.
