Copious Jones is an original rock band from Atlanta, Ga, consisting of 3 friends from music school who joined creative forces with 2 respected veterans from the local jazz/Latin scene. This incredible group balances a wide variety of styles with melodic and meaningful lyrics to create a unique and ever-evolving musical experience. Their sound can be described as something akin to Paul Simon meets Pink Floyd and The Grateful Dead.
Quickly becoming recognized throughout the southeast region of the country and beyond, Copious Jones took huge steps in 2014 booking more than 120 shows including Mountain Jam in New York, and Bear Creek Music Festival in Florida. The band plans on spending the first half of 2015 writing and recording their second album with Tree Sound Studios while continuing to play shows on the weekends throughout the southeast.
Entering their fifth year on the scene, Copious Jones has attracted attention from many notable figures such as: Chuck Leavell (The Allman Brothers, The Rolling Stones), Rob Barraco (Phil Lesh & Friends, Dark Star Orchestra), Paul Levine (Spirit of Suwannee Music Park), and Paul Diaz, owner of TreeSound Studios (Elton John, Dave Matthews, Collective Soul). In June 2013, just 3 years after forming, Copious Jones signed with Kevon Glickman and international industry powerhouse, Blingnot Media. The partnership secured the band their spot in the 10th Annual Mountain Jam Festival headlined by The Allman Brothers Band, Gov't Mule, and Tedeschi-Trucks Band, as well as helped to open the doors to opportunities with digital distribution giant, The Orchard, and Relix Magazine.
This remarkable group is truly in a category all their own, consistently giving 100% at every show and delivering honest intentions with stellar musicianship and heartfelt words. Their ever-growing fan base is a testament to these talented artists who embody the spirit so-often-forgotten in popular music these days.
