Twango Macallan is a Country Rock oriented band with forays into Reggae, Jazz, Blues, and Rock and Roll. The Band Members are: Brigette Brannan ~ Vocals and Percussion, Chris Brannan ~ Bass and Vocal, Larry Fries ~ Guitar, Mandolin, and Vocal, Mat Hanf ~ Drums, Tony Nester ~Guitar, Banjo, and Vocal, Damien Roomets ~ Dobro, Lap Steel, and Vocal. Tony and Damien were added to the lineup of this already versatile and hard working four piece band in December of 2010. With these two singer songwriters on board the band looked to create something special. And they did just that. Twango Macallan, their self titled CD is a collection of original songs conjured up by Chris, Larry, and Tony. The feature song “So. Hum. Home” tells all about their beautiful home in the redwoods of northern California, and features horn players Andy Barnett and Jimmy Durchslag, and is played on The Music Junkies Support Group on KMUD Radio. Others songs include “Twin Guitars” a Larry Fries composition with an Allman Brothers feel. “Caliwonder” penned by Chris, is a “funky thang” about the beauty, and instability of the northern California coast.
