Brandon Seyferth (Brandon 'Sigh-firth') offers a sound that bridges Americana and the rock and roll found in a rain-soaked Detroit gutter at three in the morning. With often poetic and sometimes cryptic lyrical imagery, he has been described as a less obsessive-compulsive Townes Van Zandt [Illinois Entertainer]. Revue Magazine has dubbed one of the bands he has led to be "the greatest band to come out of Chicago since the group Morphine in the '80's," While On-The-Town literary magazine has this to say: "Seyferth's travels through the mountains, China's industrial cities, and along the U.S. East Coast has afforded him a nomadic lifestyle where sleeping in the back of carnival trucks on the way to his next move in the next town created the perfect songwriting school from which he's graduated with honors." Seyferth has performed, composed and recorded with the likes of Victor DeLorenzo (Violent Femmes), Jackson Browne, Jon Lemon (Tom Waits, The Cure, Beck, Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd and more), Ryan Grostefon (Smashing Pumpkins), Clyde Stubblefield (James Brown), Jay Bennett (Wilco), Eric McFadden (P-Funk, Eric Burdon), and Pat MacDonald (Timbuk3). He has also done score work for the silent short film "Restoration," which has been selected by the International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts, Los Angeles.
