Silencing Eunice was formed in 2009 by guitarist Brian Lepine and drummer Andy Carriveau. Later in 2009 mutual friend Matt Carriveau joined the band as the bassist. After playing for a year and coming up with countless songs the band decided it was ready to find a lead singer. Brian's brother, Matt lepine, practiced a few times with the band and turned out to be a good fit for the type of rock Silencing Eunice plays. Last but not least it was time to find a lead guitarist to make the songs really come to life the way the band had envisioned. They could think of no better fit than Steve Cote, an old high school friend of Matt, and also guitarist for the local band Outfall. Early 2011 the band came together and started practicing, putting together a set list and demo CD.
Silencing Eunice plays a variety of hard rock music, from heart-melting acoustic sections, to sweeping melodies and face-tearing solo's. With every band member bringing different musical influences, the band has come up with its own unique sound and style.
