In the summer of 2011 Demension 13 recorded a full length album "Our Darkest Hours" with The 505 Recording Group in Reno, NV. It was sent to Universal for Mastering and 1,000 copies were pressed. Since that release we have opened for The Misfits, Death Angel and Machine Head.
Demension 13 has played up and down the west coast and are further looking to expand our fan base and move to a regional level. Our fan base has grown tremendously since we have started playing less local shows and more out of town shows.
D13 shows are full blown energy from start to finish and has taken on a somewhat theatrical approach to our stage performances with a full line of merchandise to back it all up.
Demension 13 was started by Joe Sands former guitarist for The Magic Nose Goblins and Steven Morris former singer for local band Vicious Cycle and other current project Envirusment back in Oct. 2007 in Reno, Nevada.
Tommy Yoder former bass player for Katlick Kristy and Ty Hagar former drummer of The Magic Nose Goblins later replaced two original members in Feb. 2008. After releasing a 5 song ep D13 has over 200 shows played and has opened up for W.A.S.P., Death Angel, Paul Dianno, The Misfits, Machine Head, The Iron Maidens, Dirty Penny and others.
Demension 13 has also participated in several fund raising events for, “The Sierra Safari Zoo” and “Brianna Denison Benefit” in Reno. They are the master minds of the “BFE Metalfest” formally known as “Moon rock Metal Festival” which is an all age camp-out in a secret location out in the desert where the stage is built, generators brought, and a massive sound system. Into it's third year last year's attendance nearly topped 500. It's been called the “Heavy Metal Version” of “Burning Man”.
Demension 13's music is an atmospheric blend of Punk, Thrash Metal and Old School Rock with psychedelic solos and rhythms. Steven's vocals have been compared to a young Glenn Danzig and King Diamond. Having been compared to Black Sabbath and Pantera but not sounding like either one their influences are apparent. The lyric writing touches on subjects of religion, inner demons, addiction, human behavior and politics. To view a write up review on D-13 please go to the link provided below.
