The Vittone Zone is an American pop / rock band, led by vocalist and guitarist Jef Vittone. Vittone has released one EP demo to date under the name The Vittone Zone. The EP used multitrack recording to create the sound of a band and all instruments were played by Vittone.
Jef Vittone formed The Vittone Zone in his current home town of Spring Hill, 45 minutes north of Tampa, FL, USA, in 2008. Vittone was raised in the Berkshire County Area of western Massachusetts, in a musical family and as the son of a professional big band musician father. He spent years playing guitar in local bands, featuring in a number of acts ranging in style from pop and metal to wedding acts. One of the bands he was involved in, Blind Date, included fellow Berkshire County musician and songwriter David Carron. (Clones, Alice Cooper)
Vittone began writing his own songs immediately after taking an interest in the guitar. He has admitted he “Found what he wanted to do with his life" when he picked up the guitar and songwriting just came naturally.” The pseudonym The Vittone Zone is a play on the family name that he first heard from his cousin David Vittone, and Brother John Vittone Jr., both are also Berkshire County musicians.
In 2009, Vittone recorded his EP titled The Eclectic Collection. It was recorded as a demo, using Electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards, a drum machine and a multi-track recording technique. The album was promoted through The Vittone Zone Facebook and Reverb Nation pages, and by playing local shows.
Vittone looks forward to writing and recording more songs for the next project, and adding more shows, maybe in a city near you….
