SQUID LID / Bio

Squid Lid is a Toronto based Dark-Pop Electronic band. Their music draws influence from Industrial, Electro-House, Dubstep, and Circus Soundtracks while their unforgettable live show features signature costume, lighting and set design with an eerie cast of glowing creatures that change before your very eyes!
Squid Lid features (the Professor Keypresser) Zirco Fisher on keyboards, (the Technician Physician) Warner Reshife on beats, and the sexy (Voodoo Mechanic) Chloe Dellark on vocals. Originally founded in 2009 with the help of Toronto DJ heavyweight Jonah K, they released their self-produced debut album “Steam Powered Submarine”, head-lined Rue Morgue Magazines Black 100 party, were featured at The Eclipse Festival and appeared on an episode of the series ‘The Vampire Diaries”. In 2010, they returned to much fan-fare at The Eclipse Festival and played numerous dates in and around Toronto, which has refined their legendary stage show and attracted a growing fan base referred to lovingly as their ‘Tentacles’.
Squid Lid has performed numerous shows and festivals throughout 2011/2012 and in this time released an album of remixes, demos, and b-sides entitled “Swampwater” as well as a third album “Crypto Zoo”. Squid Lid's ongoing process of evolving their strikingly dark and quirky vision continues to heighten the experience and expectations of live show and music lovers alike.
Exclaim Magazine raves that Squid Lid “… begs a second and third listen...” while Auxiliary Magazine notes they are “… a virtual Frankenstien of sound...” and Blog TO affirms Squid Lid’s live show to provide “... the biggest thrills of the night.” Squid Lid is an underground spectacle that is constantly growing in size and strength, ready and raring to glow minds!
