Born and raised in the middle of the map, also known to the natives as Kansas. At a young age Dustin Phillips always showed an interest in music, in particular, rap and hip-hop. In school, Dustin always did well in English but soon figured out that school was not his future. Rejected by friends and family – who hated the idea of rapping, Dustin pursued his passion. This is apparent in his music. Embedded in his songs there are references to drugs and partying – a common problem in today’s society. Dustin speaks out on the behalf of those that cannot. He brings a fluid, comprehensive understanding of those underground problems in society through music. It is important to stay expressive through music and art, which both intertwine respectively. Dustin represents Kansas on his back while showing empathy, and respect for others. Dustin often collaborates with Sk, B-Tru, and Blaq Juda.
