Four Stars Till Famous began in 2006 when local songwriter and guitarist Luc Heidenreich joined musicians Rylan Mitchell and Cody Weber to form a cover band to play in a Battle of the Bands for their high school homecoming. The three immediately found that they had great musical chemistry and began playing originals under the name “Harmonic Motion.” As Harmonic Motion, the group began to play shows throughout the Metro-East and St. Louis area. In early 2008, Harmonic Motion released their first EP, titled “Alone Not Lonely.”
By the end of 2008 the group decided to change their name to Four Stars Till Famous. In 2009, they began working with local studio engineer Sean Dothager, out of Polar Dungeon Studios. In February 2010, the band finally released “One Star Baby!”, the group’s second EP.
At the start of 2010, Four Stars Till Famous began playing with singer Nikki Stein, who helped moved the group in a new musical direction. Since then, the band has moved toward a more mature, aggressive sound, and extensively widened their song repertoire to include music from a wide variety of styles.
Four Stars Till Famous has played extensively through the local region, including St. Louis, the Metro-East, Chicago, and Southwestern Missouri. This includes shows at Pops Nightclub, the Creepy Crawl, Club UR, Mosaics on Main, Perks Coffeehouse, and the Healthy Nut Coffeehouse. In addition, the group has played at a large number of charity events, post-proms, fundraisers, battle of the bands, and private parties. The group has also had the opportunity to share the stage with many national acts, including Josephine Collective, Hail Archer, Fight Fight Fight!, and Lights Out Dancing.
