Modern Slang is your favorite band's favorite new band. Founded in Memphis, TN (known for its rock, rhythm and blues) in a time of heavily over-produced music, Modern Slang is keepin' it nitty-gritty in the River City. Their music is laden with catchy choruses and raw riffs. The sound is reminiscent of an era when Rock n' Roll was in your face and unapologetic. It's been said, "If the Rolling Stones and The Stooges had a bastard child, it would be Modern Slang." The band has played all around their hometown and is currently booking out of state gigs. 'Slang consists of a group of twenty-somethings on the rise; the embodiment of Rock n' Roll the way it should be Modern Slang is fronted by Jaeci King, an angel on the stage and demon on the mic. Kris Sharp clashes blues and classic rock with his Les Paul. Scotty Ogden shoots back powerful roots-based riffs; he's an M-80 with a short fuse. Ben Morrell leads the groove, pounding out thunderous bass lines with just a hint of metal prowess. Finally, Ryan Saucier, the animal in the engine room, beats the drums like a rented mule.
