Originally bred, trained and expected to be a professional baseball player from the age of 4, David maintaining his love for art, unknowingly through heredity. Born in San José, Costa Rica, he discovered his natural gift while growing up in the city of Boston.
In 1983, David was shown his 3 very first bridge/bar chords on his father’s classical guitar by his cousin, Tito... he bought his first electric guitar in 1985 The first band he played with, in 1987 as a bassist, was a local group out of Medford, Massachusetts, U.S.A.… although kicked out because of his “over enthusiasm”, he’s continued to play with full passion.
Through the years, David, played in such bands/performers as “Ghost”, “The Slip 5", “El Resvalón”, “Medulla Oblongata”, "The Shames" and several other local groups. He’s played in venues such as “The Middle East Downstairs” (Cambridge, MA), “The Beachcomber” (Quincy, MA), Boston’s “Downtown Crossing” (outdoors) among many other locations. Along with electric & classical guitars, David also plays bass guitar, drums/percussion, tambourine and claims to sing… only in the shower, ha, ha, ha!!!
