Cocco’s early roots began in theater and she appeared in numerous musical and dramatic productions, most notably for Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and ZoZo in The Merry Widow.
She is a twenty-five year Alum of the nationally renowned Gospel choir, The Lighthouse Singers and for eight years served on the Board of Directors. Under the direction of Dr. Helen J.H. Stevens, she sang and recorded with such Gospel greats as James Cleavland, Tremaine Hawkins, Lynette Stevens and Dr. Steven Roberts.
Cocco has has recorded and performed with various artists including Sage & The Future Generation, Kit Walker, Clara Bellino, Gentry Bronson & The Night Watchmen and Flanelhed. Cocco is best known for performing Pink Floyd’s The Great Gig In The Sky as a somber and edgy Glinda, in the original San Francisco production, “No Place Like Pink” - a live, multi-media extravaganza bringing to life in three sets, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon, and synchronizing it to The Wizard of Oz.
In addition to her performance pursuits, Cocco is a live sound engineer and has worked with Booker T. Jones, The Faraway Brothers, Noelle Hampton, John Neff and NightSage, Bonnie Hayes, The Eric McFadden Trio and 35R, to name a few.
Cocco has been studying Argentine Tango and appeared in the 2011 production of “All About Tango”, a 2012 production of “ Tango Tales” and 2013, “Tango – A Love Story”. Cocco is also writing a dramatic Tango /Cabaret/Noir production for stage, and recording with various artists.
