From Seattle comes Mike Kondol who is influenced by the songwriting and album production of the seventies. Kondol set off with an “SG” and a “bassman” amp to cut his first demos at Kaye Smith Studios/Seattle. There he crossed paths with Ann and Nancy Wilson as well as Steve Miller who was doing parts for “Fly Like an Eagle”. Record companys said his music was “avant-garde” for radio,so he started using the name “Avandguard”. “Cartoon Hearts” came out in 2006. 2 songs off of it were used in an indie film “Nowheresville”. "Cartoon Hearts" was mastered by Jack Endino. In 2006 thru 2008 Kondol put out “SixBanger” and ”Starling”. Kondol continues to record and play in Seattle.
