The BoomBachs / Bio

“Follow BoomBachs - Hotter than some tube socks, worn under Timberlands, on the set of Bay Watch”

The BoomBachs are a new breed of jazz/hip-hop fusion, founded in April 2011, by instrumentalist Marcus Wheat and vocalist Adonias “AD” Wondwessen. In a short time, the band has proven the ability to thrill audiences through intense, improv-laden live performances. Whether it be in the sweaty confines of an intimate house show, or the spotlight of a packed club, this group has the energy, emotion and musical proficiency to bring any roof down. A band whose foundation is centered around hip-hop a la The Roots, A Tribe called Quest, changes the game by shamelessly cross-pollinating jazz, progressive/post rock, and funk. With the release of their debut EP, "We Are Aliens", the fuse has officially been lit. Prepare yourselves for the Boom. All eight members of The BoomBachs reside in Denton, TX.
