What started as an idea over 5 years ago has become a reality...Ron Bryant and Gabe Munoz had played together 10 years before in a band called 9 Volt. After a ten year break and the itch to get back out on the club seen again, discussions between the two to start a Journey Tribute band arose. Ron knew if anyone could pull it off vocally it was Gabe. They started their search to assemble the band, first to join the band was Tony Garcia who originally was a guitar player but switched over to bass guitar for this project. Looking for a keyboard player was not going to be an easy task, but Ron and Gabe were able to find Adam Peterson to fill the slot playing key's and guitar's.
After many failed attempt's to land a drummer, they finally were able to find a friend to finally round out the band. Not realizing the potential and drawing power the band would have especially for doing a Journey Tribute band was totally unexpected at their first show. In July of 2010 Light's would perform their first show to a packed house at Tonic Bar, and the rest is history ! Achieving a great following is something the band did not expect at all, but continue to gain momentum with every show ! Looking to break into performing bigger event's this year and think outside the box as far as music covered, Light's is looking to have a great career covering the song's that people love to hear. We have since added a new lead guitar player by the name of Duane Ramelot that has truly changed the dynamic of the band, infusing more energy and dynamic's in our live show's.
SA Light's is currently playing at the following venue's, The Fall's, Mulligan's Sport's Pub, Shenanygan's, Hooligan's, Tonic Bar, Club 502, Silo (Alamo Height's), Broadway 50/50, Hardrock Cafe, Steely Nevada's, and Ziquid Lounge.
SA Light's is currently looking in expanding their fan base in other cities and playing major event's in and around San Antonio, Tx.
