Lisa hails from the outskirts of Detroit, Michigan. She has been writing her own songs since age 10 and singing professionally since age 17. She's been in a wide array of eclectic bands with many genres to her credit, such as Ann Arbor-based Psychaetropia, a 5 piece singer/songwriter collaboration. She left when her mother got sick and was needed at home in late 2003. She really started formulating her own style after that. As a now solo performer, with such releases as What is Now in 2007 and Becoming Lisa Ledbetter in 2010, her music appeals to many because the songs are so soulful, full of pain, honesty and courage. She also has participated in 3 World Record attempts for the longest running concert marathon. Lisa is a performer, born to sing, and to make us feel something.
