Since it's inception in 2003 by Lead Vocalist/Guitarist/Songwriter, Scott VanFossen, the local for the band's roots have grown in various areas, but the soil remains the same.
Started in NJ, moved to PA, and now to TN, the themes are consistent:
Create excellent modern melodic rock that is not only unique, but moving.
Having worked with Grammy-winning producers and platinum-selling artists, Fighting Zero's sound proves that it can be revisited and still sound as fresh as the first time you heard it.
The debut EP was recorded by Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool/Powerman 5000/Johnny Cash/System of a Down) at her pristine Northern California studio, Radiostar Studios, in Weed, CA. Jim Wood (Dishwalla) co-produced and engineered the record. The group's EP went on to provide a platform for regional success, landing them radio spins, major label showcases, and a #1 spot on local store charts, outselling the likes of Breaking Benjamin, Korn, and Finger Eleven.
The band has pressed onward, released two more EP's with their own unique successes.
Take a listen and you'll recognize the blood, sweat, and emotion in each song. More importantly, you'll hear heavy, engaging, melodic metal songs with a silver lining.
"There's a silver lining in each one of the songs I write," says VanFossen. "This is relatable to everyone."
