Ryan Sheffield and the HighHills bounce between rock and pop and americana. Their simple melodic songs will surprise you with twangs and blares all the while carried confidently by Ryan Sheffield’s raspy and lithe vocals. Sheffield brings you into his world of songs and leaves you haunted by a forever memory of a song you once heard.
St. Augustine once wrote that “the world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” Having never so much as lived in the same city as one another for the past three years, Ryan Sheffield and the HighHills have not only thumbed the pages of the American experience, they’ve started penning some stories of their own. Traveling between Atlanta, GA and Asheville, NC for band practices (when not sending recordings back-and-forth between fellow long-distance collaborator and Minnesota resident Bryan Highhill), the members of Ryan Sheffield and the HighHills are no strangers to the open road. Comprised of bassist Brenna Sheffield, guitarist Jason C. Waller, drummer Adam Lavinsky, and songwriter, guitarist and horn player, Ryan Sheffield.
