Bryan Gallo is a Long Island based singer-songwriter and former front man of the band Attic Space. His songs are inspired by late nights in bars, the backseats of cars, and the pressures and consequences of living life romantically. Intrigued by both the sounds of alternative country-rock and wistful pop music he embarked on a solo career and began to pen songs that would be deeply personal but still readily accessible. Steeped in reflective heartache, the lexicon of Gallo’s lyrics stands as a testament to his raw talent as a musician while weaving a flush and relatable narrative.
He's opened for notable acts such as Steve Wynn of The Dream Syndicate & The Baseball Project fame and Bobby Bare Jr. Gallo's headlined The Patchogue Theater's Live In The Lobby series to much acclaim and has played many other storied venues across Long Island including The Homegrown Music Cafe, The Vail Leavitt Theater, the historic Guild Hall, and performed a much celebrated set at the 2014 Great South Bay Music Festival. Not always confined to the Island that he calls home, Bryan has performed at notable NYC based venues including Pianos and The Mercury Lounge. Whether it be an intimate gig at a tavern or cafe or on a large stage setting under the lights, Bryan's words and melodies stick with audiences long after the show is over.
Gallo's highly anticipated debut album, The Party Guest, will be released on October 23rd, 2014. Pete Mancini of the Bellrose, NY based Alt-Country band Butchers Blind served as producer for the album with the entirety of Butchers Blind serving as the backing band. The album was recorded and mixed in a remote East Hampton cottage by Mick Hargreaves via his Lantern Sound Recording Rig. Hargreaves looked to capture the band over the course of several weekend sessions with many of the tracks being recorded as live takes, and all those involved using the cottage as both recording space and clubhouse. The end result is a record that doesn't stray from Bryan's singer/songwriter sensibilities all while packing on some true Rock and Roll. The Party Guest is a defining statement that encompasses several genres and shows promise for this up and coming Singer/Songwriter.
