They are known for their high energy live performance and unique sound, mixing alternative/hard rock with violin and acoustic guitar.
The band started in 2009 when original singer Shawn Campbell (Vocals, Guitar) and Jeremy Marmor (Guitar) joined brothers Josh Schoenig (Bass) and Chris Schoenig (Drums). They played a few successful shows under the name The Xcentrix. Chris later left to go to college and join the Air Force ROTC. After his departure the band added TJ Wessel on drums, who later moved to violin making room for Benjamin Spoliansky on drums. The band decided to adopt the name of Shatterproof.
In 2011 Shawn departed the band. The band added Branson Hoog on vocals and acoustic guitar. They decide to start from scratch and write all new music and take a different approach to music
In early 2012 they released their new EP "Running in Circles" recorded at Backbone Studios in Loveland CO, with producer Jason Larson. They have already played numerous shows with the new line up in 2012 at increasingly larger venues and gathering a larger following.
In August 2012 they were invited to play main stage for Bohemian Nights at New West Fest, their biggest show yet.
Soon after they released their first music video for the single "Scissors Just Don't Cut It."
In January 2013, the band entered the Blasting Room with producer Andrew Berlin (Rise Against, Tickle Me Pink) to record two more singles to be released early in the year.
