the loving tongue started rocking hard in 1994 honey boy jim guitar/vox and big tom bass/vox and paul deeble who were gigging as big toms blues band a rock blues power trio found there music taking in many styles in 1995 the band released is anyone listening which had a hard rock funk pschycadellic sound what generated intrest around australia and america the band then released a ep in 1997 called sea of lights with a strong rock funk direction this created more intrest in the australian underground scene and overseas in america and south america,and led to the band doin a short tour of americas west coast in 1999,with drummer christian jones.upon returning paul deeble rejoined on drums and the band changed direction and released distant dreams in 2003 a double cd which was a journey through hard/rock metal and progresive influences and world music influeneces
the cd got amazing reviews accross europe,ameirca,australia,south america and asia leading up for the band to peform at hard and heavy summer nights and hells pleasure festivals in germany to amazing responses,in this period the band recorded shadows of innocence a epic hard rock/metal album which was released in 2010 to great reviews accross europe and america and australia.currentlythe band with philip porolessi on drums portolessi on drums is working on new material in the hard rock progresive metal style and are keen to tour any where and every where accross the world .the band aims to respect the past and create the future and be true hard rock/metal band with feeling
