Paul Mosley / Bio

'And what a voice! We are talking Mercury prize good here' BBC 6 music'sTom Robinson.com

'A honeyed voice and a garage orchestra of disturbing magic realist folk pop. Excellent ****' Q Magazine

''A Chattering of Birds' is the perfect album' Fatea Records

‘Paul Mosley is a cults cult, a total gem’ Drowned in sound

‘What a voice!’ Jools Holland

After 6 years fronting alt-folk heroes Moses (radio 2 playlists, festivals from
Glastonbury to Amsterdam, 4* reviews in Q, Time Out, NME & more)
Paul broke out solo and created a BBC 6music ‘classic lost album’ with ‘Then I woke up and it was all a dream’
a harp & bassoon led fairytale folk album inspired by the music from Smallfilms TV classic ‘The Clangers’.
Featuring guest spots from Blues goddess Sam Brown, ska-pop supergroup
Misty’s Big Adventue and Neko Case collaborator Carolyn Mark the album received airplay from
BBC 6music and radio 2 and led to Paul being invited to tour with The Irrepressibles.

Each following album explored a new musical palette to great critical acclaim and
exposed Paul as a composer of considerable depth as well as a writer of catchy songs.
He is about to launch his 5th solo album ‘The Romantic’ exploring a bolder, band based sound
and ‘a shed load of tuned percussion’. Featuring members of Plakka and The Mediaeval Baebes
the album will be launched this spring with a consolidated media campaign, a first for the usually
lo-fi, below the radar Mosley.

Touring extensively around the UK and Canada with his ever changing garage
orchestra featuring members of Cousteau, Florence and the machine and The
New Pornographers Paul brings a unique, charming edge to the singer-songwriter
canon.
