Allijah Motika / Bio

Allijah Motika, a folk-pop artist and multi-instrumentalist currently located outside of Charlotte, NC, grew up in a house full of music. Always supported by his eclectic family (with relatives playing music from folk to heavy metal, and a father who crafts and plays Native American bamboo flutes), he has developed a diverse musical style. Beginning his solo career in 2011, Allijah crafted a distinctive sound defined by soaring melodies, clever beatboxing, syncopated lyrics, and tasteful acoustic guitar playing. His innovative style is welcomed with open ears across the state of North Carolina from wine bars to large music clubs.
In addition to his time as a solo artist, Allijah performs with indie-pop band Life Size as a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and pianist. In March of 2014 Life Size released their debut album: Mockingbird Alarmclock EP. They plan to follow up this EP in 2015 with a full length CD entitled Life Size: Live at Lee Street.
