Max Soelzer / Bio

At the early age of around 6, Max Soelzer began playing his grandmother's piano. He has been hooked on music ever since. When he was 10, his parents bought him a marching drum which he later played in the Jr. High marching band. Max soon found out that the marching band was really not his thing, and consequently started playing his solo drum to rock n' roll records. Max would set this one drum on his parents living room couch and play along to bands like Cream, Sly and the Family Stone, Grand Funk, Ike and Tina Turner, CCR just to name a few.

In his early teens, Max began high school and began playing drums in various bands. The earliest band was called MoonQueen. While attending Jr. College he played drums and sung with a band that actually had changed their name numerous times, but was most referred to as Mr. Sting and played fraternity parties throughout the South. Max also began playing drums in a band named Cypress in which he later became the front man and lead singer for the band.
The band Cypress once opened for Capricorn recording artists Grinderswitch.
In working with such varied talent of these band's musicians is where Max learned to play acoustic guitar as well as other instruments such as the harmonica and keyboards.
Max eventually renewed his relationship with Jesus Christ.
