3 to 1 is Tom Kiefaber, Tim Fuller and Joe O’Connell, musicians with varied backgrounds who create a unique blend of numerous genres that has generated a loyal following. The reason - you never know what to expect! Acoustic or electric, going from the Al Green all the way to Warren Zevon! The band offers a different show every night and is constantly playing new material. They play familiar music in innovative ways and they are a band that’s Fun to see.
A popular draw, 3 to 1 can be found locally at the Slippery Noodle Inn, The Rathskeller, the Mousetrap Bar & Grill and many other music venues, festivals and events.
Steeped heavily in the music of classic groups like the Allman Brothers Band, Grateful Dead, The Band, Neil Young and Little Feat, Three to One has no musical limits. You might just as easily hear music by Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, Van Morrison, Phish, Widespread Panic, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd or the Beatles.
Three to One occasionally puts on special events such as a full tribute to a musical icon, like the Allman Brothers or Neil Young. It’s not unusual for a special guest or two to collaborate with Three to One, adding yet another dimension to the classic guitar-bass-drums line up.
Three to One also has a ‘heavier blues’ based project named ‘Melodious Thonk’, that focuses on original music.
THREE TO ONE Members Include:
> Tom Kiefaber (Guitar, vocals and percussion) - Tom broke into the Indy music scene in the 90's. Working with such bands as The Blues Crew, Spunj, and Fancy Lizards. More recently, Tom has been involved with the Front Porch Swingers, a band which features his vocal, lead guitar and slide abilities. Tom comes from a musical family, his father played bass with Dickey Betts in "The Jokers." At only 4 years old, Tom saw his first rock show, backstage at an Allman Brothers concert. Never looking back, Tom has become an imaginative master guitar player. He has jammed with some of the best, including Dickey Betts, Warren Haynes & many others.
>Tim Fuller (Bass and vocals) -
> Joe O'Connell (Drums and percussion) studied percussion with Dr. Erwin Mueller at Ball State University. An accomplished and versatile drummer and percussionist, he has played many styles of music professionally for over 30 years - Rock to Classical, West African to Jazz, and everything in between. Joe was a member of the legendary Indianapolis band "The Spirtles." Joe is also a member of the world-class percussion group, Clang!
