Jeff Coffin is internationally known saxophonist, composer and educator. He is a 3x Grammy Award winner and, since 1997, has been playing with one of the most innovative and ground breaking fusion groups of the last 20 years, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones. Jeff also fronts his own group, the Mu’tet which plays all original compositions leaning heavily on world music influences. Beginning in July 2008, Jeff began touring with the most popular rock band in the United States, Dave Matthews Band. DMB's most recent recording “Big Whiskey & the Groo Grux King” sold over 1,000,000 copies and was nominated for 2010 Album of the Year by the Grammy Academy.

Along the way, Coffin has absorbed an astounding range of influences from folk songs, jazz, funk and world music. Jeff is also known to play two saxophones at once, harkening the spirit of the late great Rahsaan Roland Kirk. As a highly in-demand educator and Yamaha Performing Artist, Coffin has presented over 300 clinics & educational performances around the world to rave reviews from students and educators alike.
