Michael David Crozier better known as artist Mike D.C. was born in Ontario, Canada. At the age of 9 he moved to Port Townsend, WA. and started his entertainment career doing tap, hip hop, swing, break dancing, and many other forms of dance. He continued to perform in front of his home town, school and even competed in multiple national competitions. Half way through his dance career at age 11 he discovered his passion for music while freestyling with a friend (Robby Little) in his parent's basement. With his love of music continually growing he started writing songs and collaborating with his friends. It wasn't until age 12 when he was hospitalized with Crohns disease among other complications that his music took a turn for the more serious and therapeutic. Mike learned to channel his health, family, and personal difficulties into his music as a form of release. It wasn't for a few years that Mike finally brought his music to the public, performing with a live band called "Polished Opinion". Constantly collaborating with talented musicians from his home town such as Conor Sisk, Christian Powers, and others he defined his own style of music creation.
Mike D.C. Released his first solo album "Why I'm Me" in May 2011 and his collaborative EP "Rhymes & Beats" a year later with his friend and producer Sendai Mike (Mike Thielk). He continues to work on solo and collaborative projects and plays shows all across the Pacific Northwest. Mike would like to thank and credit his inspiration and drive to all his friends, family, and fans.
