Venezuelan composer, arranger and guitar player, as well as the recipient of a Cum Laude degree in Electronics Engineering from the Simón Bolívar University. He recently obtained a partial scholarship to attend the prestigious Berklee College of Music. He was born in Caracas, having his first encounter with music by age 14, beginning his musical studies at the Olga Lopez Conservatory in classical guitar and piano. Two years later, he attended the renowned Berklee 5-Week Summer Performance Program, which introduced him to jazz and to what would become his life goal: making music.
In parallel with his engineering studies, he became the first graduate from the Taller de Jazz Caracas, a novel jazz school led by pioneering bass player Oscar Fanega. He studied guitar and composition under brilliant musicians like Luca Vincenzetti, Pedro Barboza and Hugo Fuguet. In 2008 he was part of the live musical theater pit orchestra for Visa Para un Sueño, as well as founder and lead guitar player for progressive rock band Systaltic, having performed in various venues including the Central University of Caracas Baseball Stadium. In 2010 he completed his first self produced world fusion record, Un Lugar Como La Tierra, and auditioned for a spot in Berklee College of Music, where he is currently seeking to obtain a double diploma in Film Scoring and Electronic Production and Design.
Up to this moment, he has scored around 8 short films, and is in the continuing process of exploring all the different possibilities that music has, such as choir arrangements, orchestral music, video game scoring, as well as developing material for his new solo endeavors.
