From the fertile crescent of country music that gave us Loretta Lynn, Keith Whitley and Patty Loveless comes Luna a singer/songwriter whose second album "Blaine Girl" continues the tradition of unapologetic Appalachian Roots music the Hillbilly Highway, U.S. Route 23, has long been known for. Drawing comparisons to Lucinda Williams and Tom Petty, Luna makes a variety of styles uniquely her own. Her dynamic live performances include country, rockabilly and a cappella pieces woven together as comfortably as an afghan hanging from the back of your grandmother's rocking chair. Luna's band is: David Prince-lead guitar Jeff Ware-Upright and electric bass Jordan Ware- percussion. Together they are “Luna and the Mountain Jets.”
Luna and the Mountain Jets’ latest CD "Blaine Girl" was listed as one of the top six CDs of 2008 by Huntington Herald-Dispatch columnist Dave Lavender.
