Anamaria Ylizaliturri / Bio

(Soprano) Attended Marygrove College as a Vocal Performance major under teacher James Turner and was a NATS finalist for two consecutive years. She is a graduate of Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts with an emphasis on radio broadcast. Anamaria studied in Graz, Austria in 1995 with AIMS (American Institute Musical Studies) and with vocal teacher Sylvia Plyer of the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, while performing throughout Austria. She has performed with Michigan Opera Theatre from 1992-2010, and she is a member and soloist of Detroit Concert Choir, under director Gordon Nelson, since 1993, and regularly sings with Rackham Symphony Choir, under director Suzanne Mallare Acton, and she also is a member of Tuesday Musicale. Anamaria works as a studio vocalist, singing all genres, types and styles of music. She is a member of a local, country band, Julianne And The Rogues, who perform regularly throughout Metro-Detroit and Northern Michigan. Anamaria and ROSCOE also perform together as a duo, playing covers that make everyone happy!!! Anamaria was nominated for a Detroit Music Award in 2012 and 2013 for Outstanding Classical Vocalist.
