East West Infusion / Bio

Caroline Waldren and Phil Cross are " East West Infusion". Both are accomplished musicians in their own right (Caroline Waldren; keyboard, accordion, descant recorder and vocals ...Phil; flute, treble and descant recorders, vocals and occasional percussion!)

They decided to collaborate on a project 4 years ago, having met and heard one another play at Caroline's local folk club in Rushwick (an instrumental composition written by Caroline for flute and accordion). The feedback from this was extremely positive, so much so that they decided to perform and play music as a duo. In the last 3 years they have built up a music portfolio containing many instrumentals and songs in a wide variety of styles including Carolines own compositions.

Their duo name "East West Infusion" comes from their combined interest in Eastern European traditional music, exploring the strange but very exciting time signatures therein! A debut CD was released last year "Distant Shores"and some tracks from this have been uploaded to this facebook profile.

They look forward, and indeed welcome, any feedback you may want to leave, and hope you become a fan of their music.

Details of their events and gigs will be posted on the events section of their profile during the coming year .They also try and play, once a week, at the different folk clubs local to the Worcester and West Midlands area.
