Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee Red was exposed to Country, Rock,Folk, R & B , and Blues. The Legendary Sun records was there, and Red recorded 2 songs at the tender age of 13. After leaving school Red traveled to New York City's Greenwich Village where he played at several Folk Clubs including The Cafe Wha. He decided to try the West Cost on the advice of a friend. So, after a short time in Memphis he loaded up and headed west. Red played everywhere they would let him. He learned from many great Artists. After several months he decided to head back to Tennessee for a bit. Red wasn't satisfied with his writing yet, and after a bit the road called him again and he headed south to Atlanta. Were he spent several years learning how to write, and honing his playing skills. Red now resides in Nashville where he plays, writes, and records.
