Bob Perry has been playing guitar for nearly 40 years. His style influences have been Clapton, Santana, David Gilmore, Hendrix, CSNY, Moody Blues, BB King, Buddy Guy and many others. A native of Indiana, he has played all over the country, and with many styles, including playing bass in a Southern Gospel Band, and bluegrass. Bob now plays nearly every Saturday night in the Cityview Christian Center praise team. A long time Christian, he focuses his music in worship, and writes and plays Christian originals with his friend Bob Pugh. (Great song writer). He started playing on Gibson guitars, (Les Paul and SG's) but settled in on Fender Strats. Playing through a Blues Junior tube amp by Fender, it is that gritty and smooth blues sound that he plays. Not the fasted lead player on earth, but very tasty and lots of personal style, his riffs are truly blues oriented, but can scream in solid rock and roll fashion at times.
