Singing is a passion that I have had since I was a little girl. I remember finding old 45's that my mother had stashed in a dresser drawer. They were homemade recordings of family members from years ago. One of them was of my mother when she was young singing "How great thou art". I wanted to sing just like her. All through school I sang in the choir. I played the part of Mary in our 6th grade Christmas musical and that's when the music bug really bit me...lol. In high school I performed the National Anthem at sporting events and sang in numerous weddings. When I was about 20 I started singing in the bars. I won the local True Value Country Showdown finals in 1988 and performed at the Silvis Country Music Festival in Silvis Illinois. I recorded a demo at White Horse Studio in Moline Illinois with the help of some very talented musicians. After a long hiatus I entered a contest at the local dinner theater in 1994. It was a contest based on the talents of my all-time idol Patsy Cline. Out of a total of about 90 contestants, I managed to win 1st place. What an honor I felt to win such an award. Patsy was the bomb! Recently I was looking to get back on the stage again. I laughed and said it must be my mid-life crisis. But you never really lose your passions in life. Sometimes you just put them on the back burner until you are ready to start again. Well my dream came true. I have become a part of a great bunch of musicians in the band Pappa-Razzi. This is gonna be a fun and wild ride!!
