I’ve been involved with music since 1974 and have played in bands since 1981. I played, on and off, for years then later completely got out of music to raise a family. Now my kids are grown and independent enough to not need me around all the time. Oct 2007, I got together with a few guys that later became ’Invane’. In 2009, I left Invane to write new music and try to form a band of my own. Unfortunately many bands couldn’t connect a 46 year old with singing/playing modern hard-rock/metal music. Now I’m just on a holding pattern, but still writing new music/lyrics. I’ve played several instruments in the past, but bass guitar is my primary instrument of choice. I'm not a busy bassist (playing all over the fret board; jazz-style). I'm a simple bass player that enjoys carrying the bottom end of the band sound. I've played live and in competitions. I’ve played classic rock and heavy metal. I also sing lead and BG vocals. Because of work and life in general, I can’t shoot for the limits (touring, etc.). And I'm far beyond the 'rockstar' phase. But I do want to rock in Eugene, Salem, or Portland. Time will tell. Check in from time to time to where I'm at in the process. Thanks.
Cureently I have been jamming with and writing Lyrics for a local Eugene band called SOILROOT (they're easy to find on facebook, myspace, or reverbnation. If all goes well, maybe soon I'll be joining them (even if only for a few gigs).
