Marvin Ayres is a british modern-classical composer / cellist / violinist and ambient producer. . He is currently creating 'Sacred Spaces ' 3D sound installations - compositions composed of and inspired by sounds and ideas recorded and presented in diverse atmospheric locations .

The Harmogram Suite, Ayres' latest work was released on the Burning Shed Label in 2012 on CD and surround sound DVD.

Marvin has been collaborating with Martyn Ware (Heaven 17) on, new and original treatments of hit songs - performed by current celebrated artistes .

Wall of Waves is an organisation founded by Marvin Ayres to support and promote other select sonic pioneers at events/ workshops/ concerts . The first event will be held in September 2012

During his career, Marvin Ayres has composed and recorded a diverse selection of minimalist albums, incorporating spatial soundscapes and psycho-acoustics and latterly 5.1 Surround Sound.

He has also produced a number of film and TV soundtracks.

Signed in 1999 to the avant-garde label Mille Plateaux he released two minimalist albums, Cellosphere and Neptune to critical acclaim.

His collaborations with film Artists have been screened at the Tate Modern, the ICA , The national Portrait Gallery and other international galleries and film festivals and on UK Classic FM.
